The A.D.D. Book
By William Sears, M.D. and Lynda Thompson, Ph.D.

I highly recommend this book.
It's full of helpful information for parents about diagnosis, parenting, working with the schools, medication and even neurofeedback.  I like all the diet information, too.  It's a winner!

Taking Charge of ADHD
By Russell A. Barkley, M.D.

Dr. Barkley is a world renowned researcher and expert on ADD/ADHD.  In this best-selling book, he thoroughly discusses the causes, diagnosis, treatment, behavior management, working with your child's teachers, and tips for parental survival too!  I disagree with Dr. Barkley's position on diet and nutrition, but I do like the rest of this book.

This is an excellent, thought-provoking  book.  Although much of it is devoted to adults, there is a fascinating chapter about children which you'll find interesting and helpful.  Dr. Baker, a brilliant physician trained at Yale University, looks at the causes of diseases rather than just the symptoms.  I've known Dr. Baker personally for many years, and his philosophy has greatly influenced my research and writings.
