Welcome

The Massey Home Page

May God be with the victims, families and friends of all who were lost in the horrendous acts committed against America on 11 Sept. 2001.

And may He also give us the strength and perseverance to find the ones responsible.

We shall bring them to their knees.

Thank you for stopping by. We hope that you enjoy your visit and will return often. Our promise is to keep the page tasteful and up-to-date.

My hobby is older automobiles. My present project is a complete rebuild of a 1935 Ford, 2-Door Sedan which I Purchased in 1979. At that time, it had a worn-out Chevy, 283 C.I. engine, adapted to the original transmission and solid driveline which was transversely sprung at both ends. The interior was a mess but I also acquired the original seats from the man who sold it to me. The paint was a beautiful black lacquer which shined like glass and it was on the original 6.00-16 tires and spoked wheels. The tired, old motor would barely pull the car into the garage so that was my first concern, along with getting the interior re-upholstered. A friend of mine, Kirk Stewart, built another 283 with some improvement to the heads and added a slightly racey hydraulic cam. I had and old Dual 4 setup which was a factory option so I installed it along with a set of headers. Another friend, Max Ford stitched the interior for me. The rest of the story can be seen, along with pictures, by visiting my Hobby page.

My wife, Jeri, is really into cooking and has completely remodeled our kitchen. All new cabinets and appliances complete with a double oven setup. (I got the old cabinets for my garage). I'm going to try to get her interested in this Web Page stuff and have her add her input and interests to the page.

I am a retired electronics technician and have worked at a major, mid-western university for 37+ years. I have, for most of those years provided entertainment television services for the students. Being around the kids has kept me young at heart, if not in years. This is probably why I am still interested in street rodding and customs but you may notice that I still have old-fashioned ideas when it comes to building cars. I like the 50's and 60's style and will use those parts when I can find them.
